Episode 03

Indian Creek Distillery + The Last Queen

Episode Overview

What happens when you pair a 200-year-old family recipe with a “home away from home” across the pond? In Episode 03 of From Bottle to Bar, Dino explores the deep-rooted history and international flavors found in the Miami Valley region of Ohio.

We begin at Indian Creek Distillery, the oldest distillery in the state. Reopened by the Staley family on their ancestral farm, this site breathes life back into history using original 1820s documentation and a “method of operation” passed down through generations. Dino steps behind the scenes to see how they deciphered pioneer-era techniques to recreate their signature rye whiskey in traditional copper stills.

The journey continues at The Last Queen, an authentic British pub where the atmosphere is as genuine as the hospitality. Dino sits down for a classic plate of scratch-made bangers and mash before diving into a Cask-Strength Old Fashioned—a drink that honors the original 19th-century recipe. It’s a masterclass in how tradition, when handled with care, never goes out of style.
